Hilton has introduced the Hilton AI Planner, a new
generative AI-powered digital concierge designed to help travellers explore the
company’s global hotel portfolio and plan their stays more easily. The tool is
currently being tested in beta on hilton.com and reflects the growing use of
artificial intelligence in travel planning as well as Hilton’s continued
investment in digital innovation.
The Hilton AI Planner uses conversational intelligence
to guide travellers through different stages of the booking process. Users can
identify suitable destinations, compare hotels and explore amenities through
real-time responses and curated recommendations. Instead of relying solely on
traditional search filters, the system aims to provide a more intuitive and
interactive planning experience.
Beta launch with gradual expansion
Initially, the Hilton AI Planner will be available to
a limited number of users visiting hilton.com. As testing progresses and the
technology evolves, the company plans to expand access to a wider audience.
Michael Leidinger, Senior Vice President and Chief
Information Officer at Hilton, said:
“For decades, Hilton has been at the forefront of
hospitality innovation – from the award-winning Hilton Honors app to the most
widely available Digital Key and the industry-first Confirmed Connecting Room.
The launch of the Hilton AI Planner marks another step forward in our journey
to reimagine the travel experience for Hilton guests. This is just the
beginning and a preview of where we’re going, as we continue to focus on
providing thoughtful, purposeful innovation that empowers travelers.”
Growing demand for faster and more personalised travel
planning
The introduction of the Hilton AI Planner comes as
travellers increasingly expect digital solutions that deliver speed, simplicity
and personalised recommendations. The new tool is intended to respond to these
expectations while shaping the next generation of travel planning tools.
Hilton’s new AI-based service builds on the company’s
broader technology strategy. Previous innovations such as the Digital Key,
Connected Room and Confirmed Connecting Room have helped redefine how guests
interact with hotels and manage their stays.
Continuous development based on user feedback
The Hilton AI Planner will continue to evolve as more
travellers begin using the service. Hilton plans to follow a test-and-learn
approach, analysing user behaviour and direct feedback to refine the system and
expand its capabilities.
Over time, the tool is expected to anticipate
travellers’ needs more accurately, streamline the booking process and deliver
increasingly personalised recommendations throughout the travel planning
journey.
