Hilton is expanding its global presence this season
with a series of new hotel openings and renovations across Europe, Asia and the
Americas. From Mediterranean resorts to dynamic city destinations, the group is
entering new markets while strengthening its footprint in established travel
hubs.
A particular focus is on Greece, where Hilton plans to
open four hotels this season in Athens, Corfu, Santorini and Crete. The
expansion marks a significant milestone for the company in one of Europe’s most
sought-after destinations. Over the past five years Hilton has grown its
presence in Greece from a single property to more than 50 hotels, with a
further 20 projects currently under development.
In Asia-Pacific the company is expanding its lifestyle
portfolio with several new properties in Thailand, including the first Canopy
by Hilton in the country. Additional brand debuts are planned in other regions,
including Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Kenya, LXR Hotels & Resorts in
India and Spark by Hilton in Saudi Arabia.
Major openings across key destinations
Among the most anticipated openings is Conrad Athens
The Ilisian, scheduled for spring 2026. The luxury hotel will offer 307 rooms
and suites, many with views of the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill and the Aegean
Sea. Guests will have access to an extensive wellness area of more than 2,000
square metres, including a longevity clinic, indoor and outdoor pools and a
rooftop running track. Dining will be a central element of the property, with
nine restaurants and bars including the revived Galaxy venue and the grand
all-day brasserie Byzantino.
In Greece, Conrad Corfu will introduce a beachfront
resort concept in the island’s southern region. The property will feature 136
rooms, suites and villas, many with private pools or jacuzzis. Guests will find
curated wellness experiences, an outdoor cinema and family-oriented facilities
set among olive and eucalyptus trees.
Another notable opening is Sandblu Santorini, part of
LXR Hotels & Resorts. Located above the black-sand beach of Kamari, the
66-room retreat blends Cycladic architecture with contemporary design. Guests
can enjoy several dining venues focusing on local cuisine and volcanic wines,
as well as spa and wellness programs inspired by the island’s traditions.
New destinations and brand debuts worldwide
Hilton’s development pipeline also includes new hotels
across several continents. In Africa, AVA Hotel Nairobi will mark the debut of
the Tapestry Collection brand in Kenya. The property will feature 90 rooms
along with a rooftop restaurant and bar, outdoor pool and meeting facilities.
In Japan, the Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island
Resort will open with 306 rooms and a lifestyle-focused concept including
rooftop pool and bar, spa and family facilities. Meanwhile, Hilton Guangzhou
Baiyun Airport will provide direct access to the future Terminal 3 of Guangzhou
Baiyun International Airport, offering 238 rooms and extensive meeting
facilities within a major transport hub.
In Europe, Palacio Bellas Artes San Sebastian, Curio
Collection by Hilton will transform a historic 1914 cinema building into a
boutique hotel with 81 rooms in the heart of the Basque city. In Portugal, Casa
de Sada Algarve Beach Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton will reopen as a fully
redesigned beachfront resort with 183 rooms overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Additional openings planned for 2026 include hotels in
Yokohama, Bangkok, Chiang Rai and Koh Samui in Asia, as well as new properties
in London, San Diego and Guadalajara.
Renovations and brand transformations
Alongside new developments, Hilton is also investing
in renovations and brand transformations. One prominent example is the Diplomat
Beach Resort in Florida, which will reopen as Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach
Resort following a comprehensive redesign.
In Istanbul, the historic Hilton Istanbul
Bosphorus—one of the city’s most iconic hotels since 1955—is preparing to
unveil a major renovation along with new dining concepts designed to refresh
the landmark property.
As travelers increasingly seek new destinations and
experiences, Hilton continues to expand its portfolio while introducing new
brands and concepts across the global hospitality market.
