Delta Air Lines has opened a new Delta Sky Club at
Denver International Airport, expanding its premium ground experience in the
Mountain West. Located on the fourth floor of Concourse A, the lounge spans
13,000 square feet and offers seating for 230 guests.
The new facility features a spacious layout with a
range of amenities designed for relaxation and productivity. Highlights include
a premium bar inspired by Denver’s historic Union Station and local tavern
culture, a media room with large flat-screen televisions, two double-sided food
buffets and a beverage station offering coffee, tea and soft drinks.
Expansion planned later this year
Delta plans to further expand the lounge by the end of
the year. An additional 6,000 square feet will increase the total space to more
than 19,000 square feet and raise seating capacity to around 400 guests.
The expansion will also introduce a dedicated business
lounge with printers and five soundproof phone booths, along with another
beverage station to support the growing number of travelers using the facility.
Design inspired by Colorado’s landscapes
The interior design draws heavily on Colorado’s
natural environment and cultural heritage. Wildflower-inspired patterns, deep
jewel tones and earthy colors echo the region’s landscapes, while natural
materials such as live-edge wood and stone reference the state’s rugged
terrain.
Architectural details also reflect the character of
Denver’s Union Station, combining warm lighting and historic design elements to
create a connection between the city’s urban heritage and the surrounding
natural scenery.
Local art and regional cuisine
The lounge features artwork by local artists,
including pieces depicting horseback riders and wide open landscapes. The
culinary program complements this regional focus with seasonal menus and dishes
rooted in local traditions.
Among the signature offerings is Chile Colorado
prepared onsite, alongside ingredients sourced from the region such as Olathe
sweet corn, Palisade peaches and Rocky Ford melon during peak season. The bar
menu introduces craft cocktails including an Elderflower Gin and Tonic and a
Yuzu Margarita.
Claude Roussel, vice president for Delta Sky Club and
lounge experience, said the design reflects the expectations of travelers in
Denver. “Every detail, from the seating to the lighting to the regionally
inspired architecture, was crafted to deliver a premium, restorative and
unmistakably Denver experience.”
The lounge also supports Delta’s sustainability goals
by reducing the use of single-use dining materials and focusing on more
environmentally responsible operations.
