Delta Air Lines has been named Best U.S. Airline for
2025 in Forbes Travel Guide’s second annual Verified Air Travel Awards, marking
the second consecutive year the carrier has earned the top honor.
The winners were selected through an invitation-only
survey of more than 9,000 seasoned travel professionals, including luxury
travel advisors, FTG’s incognito inspectors, and its training teams – some of
the most frequent fliers in the industry.
This recognition comes in a year of continued
achievement for Delta: The Points Guy named the airline Best U.S. Airline for
the seventh consecutive year, The Wall Street Journal ranked it Top U.S.
Airline for the fourth straight year, and aviation analytics firm Cirium
recognized Delta as North America’s most on-time airline.
“We’re honored Forbes Travel Guide recognized us for
the second year in a row, especially as we celebrate our centennial,” said Erik
Snell, E.V.P. and Chief Customer Experience Officer. “It’s a true credit to the
Delta people who take pride in what they do every day. Innovation and design
shape the customer experience, but it’s our people whose care and dedication
set Delta apart.”
Five Awards in Total – More Than Any Other Airline
In addition to the top title, Delta earned four more
Forbes 2025 Verified Travel Awards, marking consecutive wins across several
categories:
·
Best U.S. First Class | Delta A321neo First Class – Modern cabin design
featuring increased privacy, workspace, and storage for a more comfortable
premium experience.
·
Best U.S. Business Class | Delta One – Spacious lie-flat seats, access
to Delta One Lounges and Sky Priority services, and a consistently refined
in-flight offering.
·
Best U.S. Airline Lounge | Delta One Lounge, JFK Airport – The flagship
lounge at New York’s JFK Airport sets a new benchmark for premium travelers,
offering expansive space and curated experiences.
·
Best Airline App | Fly Delta App – With its latest 7.5 update, the app
connects every stage of the journey through real-time, intuitive features
designed to simplify travel and reduce stress.
LaGuardia Airport also recognized
Forbes Travel Guide also named New York’s LaGuardia
Airport (LGA) the Best U.S. Airport for the second year running. Delta, the
airport’s largest carrier with more than 220 daily departures, continues to
enhance its presence through the now-completed $4 billion transformation of
Terminal C, developed in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and
New Jersey.
“Being named the nation’s best airport by Forbes
Travel Guide for the second year in a row is an incredible honor and a
testament to the lasting impression LaGuardia has made in its transformation
into a world-class gateway,” said Ryan Marzullo, Delta’s Managing Director of
New York Corporate Real Estate. “Delta is proud of our continued partnership
with the Port Authority and LaGuardia Gateway Partners to deliver a terminal
that reflects our shared commitment to providing a premium travel experience
for New Yorkers, New Jerseyans and visitors alike.”
With these latest honors, Delta underscores its
position as a leader in service, innovation, and operational excellence—a
fitting milestone in its 100th anniversary year.
