Delta Air Lines is expanding its flight options from
Austin with the launch of a new nonstop route to Phoenix and the winter
extension of its Austin–Bozeman service. The additions are designed to give
travelers from Central Texas more opportunities to reach some of the western
United States’ most popular outdoor destinations.
“Austin continues to be an important and growing city
for Delta,” said Amy Martin, Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning. “By
adding service to Phoenix and expanding our Bozeman route into the winter
season, we’re giving customers in Austin even more access to top requested
destinations while strengthening connections to key business markets across the
West.”
New nonstop service to Phoenix
Beginning Nov. 9, 2026, Delta will introduce
twice-daily nonstop flights between Austin and Phoenix. The route will be
operated by Delta Connection using an Embraer 175 aircraft.
The new service links Central Texas with Arizona’s
Sonoran Desert, known for its culinary scene, championship golf courses and
desert hiking opportunities. The route also provides convenient access to
nearby destinations such as Scottsdale and Sedona.
Bozeman service expands for winter travel
Delta will also extend its new Austin–Bozeman service
into the winter season. The route is scheduled to launch June 13, 2026,
initially operating once a week on Saturdays during the summer.
From Dec. 19, 2026, through Mar. 28, 2027, the service
will expand to daily flights. The winter schedule makes it easier for Austin
travelers to reach Montana during peak ski season, when visitors head to Big
Sky Resort and explore the winter scenery of Yellowstone National Park.
Growing Delta network in Austin
Delta continues to expand its presence at
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. During summer 2026 the airline plans to
operate 63 peak-day departures from Austin, five more daily departures than the
previous year.
By December 2026 Delta expects to serve 30
destinations from Austin, offering travelers a wider range of domestic and
international connections.
In addition to Phoenix and Bozeman, the airline is
adding service in 2026 to Asheville, Columbus, Kalispell and Kansas City. Delta
has also recently launched its first international routes from Austin to Cancun
and Cabo San Lucas, providing direct access to two of Mexico’s most popular
beach destinations.
Delta strengthens its Austin presence
Passengers departing from Austin can also use one of
the most popular Delta Sky Clubs in the airline’s global network. The lounge is
known for its Texas-inspired design and beverage menu featuring premium tequila
and mezcal selections. Over the past three years it has consistently ranked
among the highest in customer satisfaction in the southern region of Delta’s
network.
Delta further reinforced its long-term commitment to
Central Texas in October last year by opening a permanent flight attendant base
in Austin.
