Delta expands Austin network with new nonstop routes to Miami, Denver, Columbus and Kansas City

Delta Air Lines is deepening its commitment to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) with the launch of four new nonstop routes and expanded frequencies on two existing ones. Beginning November 2025, customers can fly directly to Miami (MIA) and Denver (DEN), with new connections to Columbus (CMH) and Kansas City (MCI) starting June 2026. Service to San Francisco (SFO) and Indianapolis (IND) will also increase, reflecting strong demand in key business and leisure markets.

“With these new routes and expanded service, Delta is building on a strong foundation in Austin and creating more ways for our customers to get where they want to go,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning. “It’s another step in delivering the network, convenience and premium experience that sets Delta apart as Austin’s leading global carrier.”

Local impact and airport growth

Austin-Bergstrom’s CEO Ghizlane Badawi welcomed the expansion: “This is another exciting investment in our community from Delta. We are so grateful for their partnership and shared mission of connecting Austin and Central Texas travelers to more nonstop destinations. We look forward to continued collaboration as we expand and improve our airport.”

Details of new routes

Denver (DEN): Starting Nov. 9, 2025 – twice daily via SkyWest (Embraer 175).

Miami (MIA): From Nov. 22, 2025 – one daily flight on a Boeing 737-800.

Columbus (CMH): From June 7, 2026 – daily service via SkyWest (Embraer 175).

Kansas City (MCI): From June 7, 2026 – twice daily via SkyWest (Embraer 175).

Expanded service includes:

San Francisco (SFO): From April 13, 2026 – increased to two daily flights (Airbus A319).

Indianapolis (IND): From June 7, 2026 – expanded from one to three daily flights.

The Embraer 175 aircraft offer Delta First, Comfort and Main Cabin seating, with modern interiors, larger windows and more space for passengers.

Strengthening Austin as a hub

Delta has carried more than one million passengers to and from Austin in 2025 so far—a 12% year-over-year increase. New routes to Palm Springs (November) and leisure destinations in Mexico (Cancun and Cabo San Lucas in December) will further expand the network.

Austin also hosts one of the most popular Delta Sky Clubs, renowned for its Texas-inspired design and mezcal-focused beverage program. In October, Delta will open a permanent flight attendant base in the city, reinforcing its long-term commitment to Central Texas.

“This is fantastic news for the Lone Star State,” said Texas Senator Ted Cruz. “Delta’s decision to open a flight attendant base and continue its expansion in Austin will create more travel choices, bring hundreds of good-paying jobs, boost local businesses, and further cement Texas as a national leader in growth and innovation.”
