New Condor A330neo takes off from Frankfurt for the first time
On the way from Frankfurt to the Maldives, guests will enjoy the new
Condor product of the fourth new long-haul aircraft. The aircraft was
transferred from the Airbus site in Toulouse to Frankfurt in the middle of last
week. Since then, the final work on the aircraft and the required aeronautical
inspections have been carried out. With the transfer of the A330neo to its own
AOC, the first passenger flight could take place today.
Condor expects to take delivery of a total of 18 factory-new long-haul
aircraft, which will completely replace the current B767 fleet by 2024 as part
of the overall long-haul fleet renewal program. This year, Germany's most
popular vacation carrier is expecting one new aircraft a month. The 2-liter
aircraft boasts state-of-the-art engines from Rolls Royce and special
aerodynamics. Thanks to the latest technology, these are particularly efficient
and can run on sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), resulting in 20 percent lower
CO2 emissions with significant fuel savings. Condor thus inextricably links
vacation and responsible travel.
