Condor has announced a special rescue fare to assist
passengers affected by the sudden collapse of Icelandic airline PLAY. The
initiative aims to help travelers stranded on both sides of the Atlantic after
the carrier ceased operations.
Supporting travelers after disruption
Many PLAY customers had relied on connections via
Iceland to reach Berlin, Paris, and Prague from the United States. With flights
cancelled, thousands of passengers were left without onward travel options.
“As Germany’s most popular bleisure airline, we know
how important it is for people to reach their loved ones or continue their
journeys without unnecessary stress,” said Daniel de Carvalho, Interim
Marketing & Communications Director at Condor. “By extending this helping
hand, we hope to ease the inconvenience faced by PLAY’s customers during this
period of disruption.”
