The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has officially
opened the 44th Thailand Tourism Festival (TTF) 2026, reinforcing its role as
the country’s flagship platform for domestic tourism and encouraging Thai
residents to rediscover travel opportunities across the Kingdom.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms.
Natthriya Thaweevong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports
and Chairperson of the TAT Board of Directors, together with Ms. Thapanee
Kiatphaibool, Governor of TAT. They were joined by provincial governors and
vice governors, members of the TAT Board of Directors, senior executives from
TAT, as well as key representatives from both the public and private sectors.
Ms. Natthriya Thaweevong said: “This year’s festival
reinforces our commitment to positioning Thailand as a premier global
destination while inspiring Thai people to explore their own country with
pride. The event highlights stunning attractions, warm Thai hospitality,
authentic lifestyles and immersive experiences that TAT is ready to deliver
through the ‘5 Must Do in Thailand’ strategy.”
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool added: “This annual festival
aims to inspire Thai people to explore their own country and rediscover the
many charms of their homeland, fostering a renewed sense of connection to
Thailand. The nine main zones directly support regional development and create
new opportunities for local communities, while showcasing the country’s diverse
regions and their unique attractions.”
Nine themed zones showcase Thailand’s diversity
The festival has been designed to transform curiosity
into genuine travel inspiration. Through nine distinct zones, visitors
experience different aspects of Thailand’s destinations, identities and tourism
offerings.
Together, the zones create a journey across the
country that combines culture, cuisine, creativity, entertainment and
sustainability. The concept encourages visitors not only to enjoy the festival
itself but also to explore the featured destinations beyond the event.
Focus on sustainability and community value
TTF 2026 embraces Thailand’s Bio-Circular-Green
Economy (BCG) model, promoting environmentally responsible tourism that
highlights local identities and generates value for communities.
The event also continues its “Zero Waste to Landfills”
initiative, now in its fourth year. The programme ensures that no waste
generated during the festival is sent to local landfill sites.
Five-day event in Bangkok
The Thailand Tourism Festival 2026 takes place from 25
to 29 March 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok.
The event runs daily from 10:00 to 21:00 and is located in Halls 1 to 4 on the
ground floor. Admission is free.
Visitors are encouraged to use public transport, with
direct access via the MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre Station on
the Blue Line, as well as bus route 136. Limited parking is available on site,
while taxis and ride-hailing services also serve the venue.
Further information is available through the TAT Call
Centre (1672 Travel Buddy) and via the Amazing Thailand and Thailand Festival
social media channels.
