TAT and UOB Launch Nationwide Domestic Tourism Campaign in Thailand

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and UOB Thailand have launched the "UOB x TAT Travel Thailand Together" campaign, a nationwide initiative designed to encourage domestic travel and support local tourism businesses. Running until 30 September 2026, the campaign is linked to TAT's "Feel All the Feelings" marketing strategy and combines accommodation offers, cardholder benefits and traveller rewards.

The programme aims to encourage Thai residents to explore more destinations across the country while increasing visitor spending in local communities.

Focus on domestic travel demand

According to UOB Thailand, domestic travel and hotel stays ranked among the five largest spending categories for its credit cardholders during the first half of 2026, highlighting continued demand for travel within the country.

TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications Nithee Seeprae said the partnership combines nationwide destination promotion with practical travel benefits to generate additional business for tourism operators and strengthen local economies.

UOB Thailand added that the campaign leverages the bank's customer data, financial products and partner network to provide added value for travellers while supporting hotels, entrepreneurs and tourism-related businesses.

Hotel cashback and travel rewards

As part of the campaign, UOB credit cardholders can redeem reward points for a 15 percent cashback on direct hotel bookings at participating hotels across Thailand. The offer applies only to reservations made directly with hotels and excludes bookings through online travel agencies (OTAs).

Cardholders can also qualify for exclusive promotional gifts. Customers spending at least THB 1,000 receive a limited-edition Snoopy tumbler, while purchases of THB 50,000 or more in a single transaction qualify for a 20-inch luggage suitcase. Participation requires prior registration via the UOB TMRW app or SMS.

In addition, travellers registering for the Buddy Rewards programme online or at participating TAT activity booths can receive campaign souvenirs jointly provided by TAT and UOB.

The campaign runs until 30 September 2026 and forms part of Thailand's ongoing efforts to stimulate domestic tourism and strengthen visitor spending across destinations nationwide.
