IHG Hotels & Resorts announces the
introduction of voco hotels in Bandung, Indonesia through a signing agreement
with PT Sun Land Investama, and new partner Nova Chandra.
Scheduled
to open in 2025, the new build 162-key voco Bandung Setiabudi will be
located along Jalan Dr. Setiabudi, a famous shopping street in the area and
close to natural attractions.
As
part of voco hotels, IHG’s fastest-growing premium brand, the hotel will offer
the brand’s thoughtful, unstuffy and charming experience inspired by three voco
brand hallmarks – ‘come on in’, ‘me time’, and ‘voco life’ and join a pipeline
of 80 hotels that will double the size of the voco hotels estate to over 150
hotels globally* in the next few years.
Chris
Anklin, Senior Director, Development, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels
& Resorts said: “Together with PT Sun Land Investama and Ibu Nova Chandra,
we are delighted to introduce voco hotels to Bandung. As the fifth IHG hotel in
Bandung, it will complement a well-rounded portfolio that includes
InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Hotel Indigo brands within the
city.
“The
wonderful addition of voco Bandung Setiabudi aligns with our plan to grow
across the country and introduce the beauty and wonders of Bandung to more
visitors around the globe. It also strengthens our fantastic Indonesia estate
which now includes 27 open hotels and 15 pipeline hotels across nine
destinations – Bandar Lampung, Bandung, Bali, Batam, Bintan, Cikarang, Jakarta,
Semarang and Surabaya.
Nova
Chandra said: “Bandung is the cultural and artistic hub of Indonesia,
well-loved for its cuisine, natural attractions and cool climate. There is
growth momentum for the city with the recent introduction of a high-speed
Jakarta-Bandung railway, making it easy for travellers to visit and explore
this beautiful and vibrant destination. I look forward to welcoming guests to a
delightful and uplifting stay experience at voco Bandung Setiabudi when it
opens next year.”
Edwin
Suriadi, Director, PT Sun Land Investama added: “voco Bandung Setiabudi is a
wonderful new addition to Bandung. I am confident it will attract more
international and domestic travellers to the area and support its growth as a
tourism destination.”
The
162-key voco Bandung Setiabudi will offer guests warm and welcoming
spaces where they can unwind and relax. Facilities will include three food
& beverage outlets, nine meeting rooms with over 1,000 square metres of
meeting spaces, a Health Club, a Kids Club and a Business Centre.
IHG
currently operates 27 hotels across seven brands in Indonesia including the
most recent brand debut of voco hotels in Bali as well as 15 upcoming hotels in
the pipeline.
