Vietnam: Hyatt Regency Danang Expands MICE Experiences Beyond the Meeting Room

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is expanding its offering for meetings, incentives, conferences and corporate retreats with a stronger focus on activities outside traditional event spaces. Pickleball, padel, tennis, mini golf and hands-on experiences at The Little Farm can now be incorporated into group programmes at the resort on Vietnam’s central coast.

The concept responds to changing expectations in the MICE market, where formal meetings are increasingly combined with recreation, wellbeing and informal opportunities to connect. Instead of treating leisure activities as an addition at the end of the programme, the resort is positioning them as part of the overall event experience.

Pickleball, padel and tennis for corporate groups

The Courts provide facilities for pickleball, padel and tennis. Companies can organise tournaments and team challenges or simply include casual matches between meetings. The activities are designed for different levels of experience and offer an informal setting for delegates to interact away from conference tables.

A nine-hole mini golf course adds another option. During the day, groups play amid tropical gardens close to the sea, while illumination allows the course to be used after dark for networking events and informal tournaments.

For more structured team-building, The Little Farm offers outdoor activities centred on collaboration, creativity and problem-solving. Together, the different formats give planners greater flexibility when combining business sessions with social activities.

Event spaces accommodate up to 700 guests

The recreational programme complements an extensive range of meeting and event facilities. The resort’s beachfront and outdoor venue can accommodate up to 700 guests, while the Regency Ballroom has capacity for as many as 400 people and can be used for conferences, executive meetings, exhibitions and gala dinners.

Smaller events can be held in the Boardroom, Villa Garden and several flexible function rooms. A dedicated MICE team assists organisers with planning and implementation.

The resort’s restaurants can also be incorporated into group programmes. Xanh House focuses on Vietnamese cuisine, while Osteria al Mare serves Italian dishes. Other options include Vive Océane Beach Club & Restaurant, Le Petit Chef and Terrasse.

49-acre resort between Da Nang and Hoi An

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa occupies 49 acres along Non Nuoc Beach. It offers 199 guestrooms, 146 residences and 23 private villas as well as five swimming pools and VIE Spa.

Its location also allows event programmes to extend beyond the resort. The property lies between Da Nang and Hoi An, whose historic old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making cultural excursions an option for incentive and conference groups.

Additional incentives for event planners

The expanded activities form part of Hyatt’s Together by Hyatt approach to meetings and events. The group is currently combining the programme with its Asia Pacific Groups, Meetings & Events Offer 2026.

Depending on contracted revenue, qualifying events can receive up to four benefits. These include rebates, suite upgrades, complimentary meeting-room Wi-Fi, discounts on audiovisual services, wellbeing experiences and additional World of Hyatt points.

Events must be booked and contracted by 31 December 2026 and take place by 31 March 2027 to qualify for the regional offer. For events held between September 2026 and February 2027, Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is offering an additional benefit through its separate Enjoy Extra Perks promotion.

With the expanded programme, the resort is placing greater emphasis on a MICE format in which meetings, sport, dining and informal encounters are integrated into the same stay rather than organised as separate elements.
