The dynamic Luohu District of Shenzhen, bordering Hong
Kong, has entered into agreements with leading institutions in Frankfurt to
enhance cultural and tourism exchanges between the two regions.
One of the agreements was signed between the Luohu
District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports and the Sino-German
Association for Technology and Science, during the China (Shenzhen Luohu) –
Germany (Frankfurt) Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Exchange Symposium, held
in Frankfurt on Tuesday.
Focus on Cultural Tourism and Innovation
Both sides committed to leveraging their respective
strengths to advance cooperation in cultural tourism, artificial intelligence,
and digital creativity. The partnership aims to promote joint projects,
establish long-term mechanisms for collaboration, and foster sustainable growth
and innovation.
The symposium brought together more than 50 German
companies and institutions from sectors including cultural tourism, life
sciences, media, and AI.
Strengthening China–Germany Relations
In a keynote speech, a representative of the Chinese
Consulate General in Frankfurt highlighted the importance of the symposium in
strengthening industrial and economic ties between China and Germany. The
initiative seeks not only to deepen business relations but also to improve
mutual understanding between the two nations.
Representatives from the Luohu trade delegation
presented the region’s advantages and development potential, emphasizing
commitment to expanding cooperation in performing arts, creative fashion,
cross-border tourism, green development, and life sciences.
German institutions such as the European Molecular
Biology Organization and the Hessian State Ballet shared insights on industry
trends and expressed interest in future collaboration with Luohu.
Business Engagement and Exchange
Alongside the symposium, the Luohu delegation visited
several German companies and institutions, including Meissner Digital Interior
Design, Baum & Garten Advertising, Schmidt Advertising, and the European
Molecular Biology Organization. The visits were intended to encourage German
firms to invest in Shenzhen and expand into the Chinese market, while also
supporting Shenzhen brands in their global outreach.
The symposium served as a platform for exchange
between Luohu and Frankfurt, with both parties pledging to explore new models
of cooperation under the newly signed agreements. The collaboration is expected
to foster mutual business growth and cultural exchange.
