Lopesan Hotel Group has officially opened three new
all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, significantly expanding its presence in
the Dominican Republic. The development represents the company's largest
investment in the Caribbean to date, exceeding US$350 million and adding more
than 1,000 rooms to its portfolio alongside the existing Lopesan Costa Bávaro
Resort Spa & Casino.
The opening introduces three distinct resort concepts
designed to appeal to different traveller segments while creating an integrated
destination centred on nature, wellness, entertainment and family experiences.
The first guests were welcomed through a personalised inaugural arrival
programme celebrating the launch of the new resorts.
Three resorts with distinct concepts
Designed in partnership with internationally
recognised HKS Architects and its hospitality design division, ROAM, the new
destination combines water-inspired architecture with the natural landscapes of
Punta Cana.
The Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort Spa & Casino forms
the centrepiece of the development. The 554-room resort features a spectacular
127-metre lagoon pool, cenote-inspired design elements and ten waterfalls
reflecting the brand's "Flow" philosophy. The property also includes
the new Lopesan Convention Center, capable of hosting more than 2,000 delegates
for meetings, conferences and events.
The Lopesan Serenity Bay Spa & Casino offers 239
rooms in an adults-only setting focused on relaxation, wellness and privacy.
Guests also enjoy access to the restaurants, entertainment and facilities
throughout the wider Lopesan resort complex.
Families are the focus of the Lopesan Splash Cove Spa
& Casino, a 242-room resort featuring a wave pool, water park attractions,
sports facilities and entertainment designed for multigenerational holidays.
The Boulevard creates a connected resort experience
Connecting all four Lopesan resorts is The Boulevard,
an open-air promenade designed as a vibrant social and entertainment hub. The
pedestrian-friendly area features restaurants, cocktail bars, cafés, shopping
outlets, nightlife venues, an 820-seat theatre and a casino, allowing guests to
move easily between multiple experiences within one integrated destination.
To mark the official opening, the first guests
received personalised airport welcomes, private transfers, ceremonial
receptions hosted by resort management, signature welcome cocktails,
commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremonies and exclusive return-stay offers.
Investment strengthens Punta Cana presence
"This expansion marks a defining moment for
Lopesan Hotel Group in the Caribbean and reflects our continued investment in
Punta Cana as one of the region's most important luxury travel
destinations," said Carlos Jimenez, Lopesan Caribbean Regional Director.
"We are incredibly proud to officially welcome our first guests and
introduce a connected resort experience that brings a new perspective to the
modern all-inclusive."
More than 1,100 jobs expected
The project has already created approximately 700 jobs
during the initial opening phase, with employment expected to exceed 1,100
positions once the resort complex reaches full operational capacity.
Building on the reputation of the Lopesan Costa Bávaro
Resort Spa & Casino, the three new resorts are also pursuing the
prestigious AAA Four Diamond recognition. According to the company, the
expansion reflects the long-term vision of the López family, founders of the
Spain-based hospitality group, and reinforces Punta Cana's position as one of
the Caribbean's leading luxury holiday destinations.
