IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a new
partnership with Proud Real Estate Public Company Limited to develop The
Residences at InterContinental Phuket Resort, an ultra-exclusive branded
residential project on Thailand’s largest island. The development marks a
further step in IHG’s expansion in the global branded residences segment and
deepens its collaboration with PROUD following the successful launch of InterContinental
Residences Hua Hin.
A limited collection in a prime Phuket location
Located at Kamala Beach on Phuket’s prestigious
“Millionaire Mile”, the project comprises just 111 private residences. The
portfolio ranges from one-bedroom residences starting at 59 square metres to
expansive five-bedroom penthouses of up to 425 square metres. All residences
are directly connected to InterContinental Phuket Resort, the only
InterContinental property worldwide to have been awarded Two Michelin Keys.
The development is positioned as a residential
extension of InterContinental’s luxury hospitality ethos, translating
hotel-level service into everyday living within a secluded yet well-connected
coastal setting.
Strengthening a long-standing partnership
For IHG and PROUD, the Phuket project represents the
second branded residential collaboration between the two companies in Thailand.
It builds on their established partnership and reflects a shared strategy of
targeting high-end buyers seeking both lifestyle value and long-term investment
potential in prime resort destinations.
Vivek Bhalla, Managing Director, South East Asia &
Korea at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the launch underscores Phuket’s
continued evolution as one of Asia’s most desirable destinations for both
travellers and homeowners. He noted that the project extends InterContinental’s
legacy of refined hospitality into residential living, while contributing to
IHG’s growing global pipeline of more than 30 branded residential developments
that are either open or currently selling.
Designed for lifestyle beyond the resort
According to Proudputh Liptapanlop, Executive Director
of PROUD, the project has been conceived under the concept “Live Beyond
Boundaries in Paradise”. Set within one of Phuket’s most exclusive enclaves,
the residences combine tranquil natural surroundings with convenient access to
key lifestyle amenities across the island.
Residents will have access to a comprehensive range of
services, including 24-hour concierge support, resident-only swimming pools,
entertainment and function spaces. In addition, owners benefit from proximity
to Michelin-recognised dining, spa services and yacht facilities available
through the adjoining InterContinental Phuket Resort. Selected purchasers are
also eligible for IHG One Rewards membership benefits and curated PROUD
privileges.
Phuket’s growing role in the global branded residences
market
Phuket currently ranks as the world’s seventh-largest
hub for branded residences, with a combined market value estimated at USD 2.3
billion. Against this backdrop, The Residences at InterContinental Phuket
Resort adds a high-profile, low-density project that aligns with international
demand for luxury homes supported by globally recognised hospitality brands.
With nearly 80 years of heritage and a portfolio of
more than 230 hotels worldwide, InterContinental continues to position itself
at the forefront of luxury hospitality. The new Phuket residences reflect this
legacy, reinforcing the island’s appeal not only as a premier travel
destination, but also as a location for long-term luxury living.
