TUI Hotels & Resorts is expanding its global
footprint with the launch of The Mora Singapore, marking the brand’s first
property in Asia. Scheduled to open in September 2026, the hotel introduces a
new interpretation of contemporary luxury in Singapore, combining a relaxed
lifestyle concept with a strong sense of place.
Set within the Labrador Nature Reserve, the property
offers a quiet retreat just minutes from the city’s urban core. Designed in a
colonial bungalow style, the hotel features 20 rooms and suites, complemented
by an outdoor pool, an indoor jacuzzi and a separate building housing an
executive lounge, a bar and two restaurants.
A new approach to modern luxury
The Mora brand is built around the idea of slowing
down and embracing spontaneity. Its name, derived from the Latin word for
“pause”, reflects a philosophy that encourages guests to step away from routine
and reconnect with their surroundings.
“Singapore is the perfect destination for The Mora’s
Asian debut,” said Artur Gerber, CEO of TUI Hotels & Resorts. “Surrounded
by greenery and located in one of Asia’s most dynamic gateway cities, the hotel
offers an ideal setting for our concept of laid-back luxury.”
Curated experiences beyond the hotel
Guests will have access to a range of curated
activities through the TUI Musement app, offering deeper insights into
Singapore’s culture and lifestyle. These include guided food tours in small
groups, cultural excursions combined with river cruises past landmarks such as
Merlion Park and Marina Bay, as well as sunset catamaran cruises around the
Southern Islands.
The aim is to extend the hotel experience beyond its
physical setting, allowing guests to engage with the destination in a more
personal and flexible way.
Expansion in Asia underway
Following its Singapore debut, the brand will continue
to grow in the region. A second project, The Mora Munduk, is already in
development in Bali, as part of a broader strategy to establish a network of
destinations across Asia.
With its focus on authenticity, freedom and
experiential travel, The Mora is positioning itself as a lifestyle-driven
hospitality concept designed for travelers seeking a more individual and
unstructured way to experience luxury.
