Saudi Arabia has introduced the Package Visa, a new
digital initiative designed to make visiting the Kingdom easier by integrating
tourist visa applications directly into travel bookings. The system is being
launched through qualified travel and tourism service providers in selected
international markets before a wider global rollout.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's broader
strategy to simplify travel procedures while enhancing the overall visitor
experience as the country continues to expand its tourism sector.
Visa and travel booking combined
The new Package Visa allows eligible travelers to
arrange flights, accommodation and their tourist visa through a single
integrated booking process. Visitors can also add events, activities and other
tourism experiences as part of their itinerary, reducing the number of steps
required to plan a trip.
The initiative builds on earlier measures introduced
to improve accessibility, including the tourist e-Visa, visa-on-arrival
facilities and the Stopover Transit Visa. Together, these measures helped Saudi
Arabia welcome more than 29 million international visitors in 2025.
"As Saudi's tourism sector continues to grow at
pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more
seamless for visitors. By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we
are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel
experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism
ecosystem and supports Saudi's position as an increasingly accessible global
destination," said His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi Minister of Tourism.
Benefits for travelers and the travel industry
For travelers, the Package Visa streamlines the
journey from trip planning to arrival by combining multiple travel services
into a single booking process. The integrated approach is intended to make
travel arrangements faster, more convenient and easier to manage.
The initiative also offers new opportunities for
qualified travel and tourism service providers. By combining visa processing
with travel products, providers can create more comprehensive holiday packages,
simplify the customer journey and encourage longer stays and broader tourism
experiences.
Available through qualified travel partners
To ensure consistent service quality, the Package Visa
is available exclusively through qualified travel and tourism service providers
that meet defined service standards and offer 24-hour customer support.
With the introduction of the Package Visa, Saudi
Arabia continues its efforts to improve accessibility and strengthen its
position as an increasingly attractive destination for international travelers.
