Radisson Hotel Group has introduced a new AI-powered
hotel discovery app in ChatGPT, developed in collaboration with Accenture.
Available as @RadissonHotels, the app allows travelers to search for hotels,
compare options and access live rates through natural language conversations
before completing their reservation on the Radisson Hotels website.
The new service marks another step in the group's
digital transformation strategy and reflects the growing role of artificial
intelligence in travel planning and hotel bookings.
From travel inspiration to booking
The ChatGPT app enables users to search more than
1,000 Radisson Hotels properties across over 100 countries by describing their
travel plans in everyday language. Travelers can ask for recommendations such
as a family-friendly hotel in Amsterdam or a property with a spa near the
Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The app provides real-time availability, rates, hotel
details, amenities, location information and interactive map results before
directing users to the Radisson Hotels website to complete their booking.
AI reshapes the booking journey
According to Accenture's Consumer Pulse Research, 87
percent of travelers are open to using an AI-powered travel assistant to find
suitable travel options. In addition, 71 percent expect AI to influence at
least half of their spending on hotels or airlines during the next 12 months.
Radisson Hotel Group says it is already seeing
changing customer behavior, with AI-powered platforms emerging as new entry
points for travel planning alongside traditional search and direct website
traffic.
Foundation for future AI services
The ChatGPT app is built on technology developed
through Accenture's AI Merchant Center and connects directly with Radisson
Hotel Group's existing hotel systems to deliver live inventory and pricing.
Both companies plan to expand the platform with
additional capabilities, including personalized recommendations, loyalty
programme recognition, in-chat booking, reservation management, trip
modifications and AI concierge services.
The initiative forms part of Radisson Hotel Group's
wider strategy to strengthen direct bookings and create more personalized
digital experiences as AI becomes an increasingly important part of the travel
planning process.
