Following an extensive renovation, Hyatt Hotels
Corporation has announced the reopening of Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa
Resort. The 424-room, all-suite resort reinforces the brand’s focus on refined,
adults-only experiences and marks a significant upgrade to one of Hyatt’s
flagship all-inclusive destinations in Mexico.
Located in the private, gated community of Playa
Mujeres, just north of Cancun, the AAA Four Diamond resort combines white-sand
beaches and ocean views with a Greg Norman–designed golf course nearby. Guests
also benefit from complimentary access to the neighboring Dreams Playa Mujeres
Golf & Spa Resort, expanding dining and leisure options.
“We are thrilled to debut the newly renovated Secrets
Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort following extensive enhancements to elevate
the guest experience,” said Mauricio Martinez, general manager of the resort.
The updates, he added, strengthen the brand’s signature mix of romance,
relaxation and elevated experiences, while also appealing to guests seeking
golf and active leisure in a coastal setting.
Redesigned accommodations and exclusive club spaces
All guestrooms have been reimagined with a
contemporary coastal design inspired by the sea and horizon. Natural materials,
soft fabrics and flowing layouts aim to create a calm, intimate atmosphere
focused on relaxation and quality time.
For guests seeking an elevated stay, the Preferred
Club now features a newly constructed two-story building with a dedicated
check-in lounge and an exclusive ocean-view restaurant. A new private beach
club further enhances the experience, offering a quiet retreat overlooking the
Caribbean.
Refreshed public areas and spa experience
Key public spaces have been redesigned to improve flow
and arrival comfort, including the relocation of the lobby bar and check-in
area closer to the guestrooms. Meeting and event spaces have also been
upgraded. Additional enhancements to the Secrets Spa are scheduled to open in
mid-February, expanding the resort’s wellness offering.
Updated dining and nightlife concepts
Culinary and entertainment venues have been refreshed
as part of the renovation. Desires Night Club and Coco Café now feature updated
atmospheres, while Portofino introduces elevated Italian cuisine. Bordeaux is
set to reopen in mid-February as an immersive, Amazon-inspired dining concept
designed to engage multiple senses.
With the reopening of Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf &
Spa Resort, Hyatt continues to invest in established leisure destinations,
combining modern design updates with the brand’s established all-inclusive
luxury positioning.
