Hilton is accelerating the expansion of its Hilton
Garden Inn brand in China by adding more than 2,000 new rooms across key
business hubs and fast-growing leisure destinations. The latest agreements,
signed during the Hilton Garden Inn Investment Summit in China, reinforce the
brand's growth strategy and reflect strong owner confidence in the Hilton
Garden Inn · Gen A concept, which was developed specifically for the Chinese
market.
The expansion builds on the brand's strong momentum in
China. In 2025, Hilton Garden Inn secured 100 hotel signings across business
and leisure destinations, the highest number achieved by an international
upscale mid-market hotel brand in the country.
Focus on business and leisure markets
The new developments will strengthen Hilton Garden
Inn's presence in major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and
Shenzhen while expanding into high-growth tourism destinations.
The Hilton Garden Inn · Gen A prototype combines
enhanced design, business functionality and guest-focused amenities tailored to
the expectations of Chinese travellers. Nature-inspired interiors,
multifunctional public spaces and upgraded facilities are designed to meet both
business and leisure travel needs.
“Over the past decade, Hilton Garden Inn has built a
strong presence in China through localized innovation, earning the trust of
owners and the market. Leveraging our brand strength and scale, we continue to
strengthen Hilton Garden Inn’s position in China’s upscale hospitality. Looking
ahead, we will further enhance our products and services, expand into both
business and leisure travel segments, and deliver sustainable long-term returns
for our owners and investors,” said Nong Xia, President, Development, Greater
China & Mongolia, Hilton.
New hotels planned across China
Among the latest projects are three hotels in major
urban centres scheduled to open in 2026. Hilton Garden Inn Beijing Future
Science City will offer 118 rooms in the heart of the capital's innovation
district. Hilton Garden Inn Guangzhou Huangpu Luogang Science City will feature
138 rooms close to one of Guangzhou's leading industrial and technology hubs.
In Chengdu, Hilton Garden Inn Tianfu Square Center will provide 288 rooms
within walking distance of the city's main shopping and cultural attractions.
The expansion also includes new properties in emerging
leisure destinations. Hilton Garden Inn Lushan Scenic Area, expected to open in
2027, will offer 119 rooms overlooking Mount Lushan and nearby historic
attractions. Hilton Garden Inn Yichun Mingyueshan Wenquan Road, scheduled for
completion in 2028, will feature 138 rooms within a national 5A-rated tourist
resort known for its mountain scenery and hot springs.
Continuing long-term growth
Hilton Garden Inn currently has more than 350
operating and pipeline hotels across China. The company plans to continue
expanding through flexible operating models, supported by Hilton's commercial
platform, revenue management capabilities and centralised financial systems.
All new Hilton Garden Inn properties will participate
in the Hilton Honors loyalty programme, giving guests access to member benefits
including discounted rates, flexible points redemption, complimentary standard
Wi-Fi and digital services such as online check-in, room selection and Digital
Key.
