Four Seasons is expanding its portfolio of curated
multi-destination journeys with three new itineraries across Japan, Thailand
and Hawaii. The programmes combine stays at several properties with coordinated
planning, dedicated support and experiences developed around the individual
destinations.
The new journeys range from seven to eleven days and
are designed to make travel between different locations easier while retaining
a strong focus on local culture. They join existing Four Seasons itineraries in
Bali, Spain and Mexico, extending a concept that combines accommodation with
culture, cuisine, wellness and destination expertise.
Japan combines Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka
The nine-day “Japan: The Art of Old & New”
itinerary connects Four Seasons properties in Tokyo at Otemachi, Kyoto and
Osaka.
In Tokyo, guests receive access to an area of Toyosu
Fish Market normally used by sushi chefs and industry professionals, followed
by a chef-led sushi-making session using ingredients selected earlier that day.
Kyoto focuses on the city’s cultural heritage, with a Four Seasons Cultural
Ambassador providing local perspectives and access to routes beyond the main
visitor areas.
The final stage explores Osaka through its food
culture, neighbourhood establishments, markets and culinary traditions.
“Today’s luxury traveller is looking for experiences
that feel both meaningful and seamless,” said Marc Speichert, Executive Vice
President and Chief Commercial Officer at Four Seasons. He said connecting
several properties within one itinerary allows guests to experience
destinations more deeply while travel arrangements are coordinated throughout
the journey.
Thailand links Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui
The eleven-day “Thailand: Stories & Stillness”
journey combines three contrasting destinations. It begins amid the urban
energy of Bangkok, continues to the cultural traditions of Chiang Mai and
concludes on Koh Samui.
Experiences include a visit to Naenna Studio in Chiang
Mai, where a mother-and-daughter team works to preserve northern Thai textile
traditions. In Bangkok, guests can create and bottle their own spirit at BKK
Social Club, while Koh Samui provides the setting for a nighttime spa ritual on
a secluded stretch of coastline.
Two different experiences on Lanai
In Hawaii, Four Seasons is taking a different
approach. The seven-day “Lanai: Two Worlds, One Island” itinerary remains on a
single island but combines two resorts and contrasting experiences.
The journey starts at Four Seasons Resort Lanai, with
activities including private sailing and personalised exploration of the
island’s landscapes, history and culture. It then moves to Sensei Lanai, A Four
Seasons Resort, where the emphasis shifts towards wellness, mountain forests,
forest bathing and spa treatments.
Curated journeys expand beyond individual resorts
The new programmes reflect a broader move by Four
Seasons to sell interconnected journeys rather than individual hotel stays. A
dedicated team acts as a single point of contact, coordinating the different
stages and tailoring recommendations and experiences to individual guests.
Four Seasons already offers similar itineraries in
Bali, Spain and Mexico. The eight-day Bali programme combines Jimbaran Bay and
Sayan, while the eight-day Spain itinerary links Madrid with Mallorca. A
ten-day journey through Mexico connects Mexico City, Tamarindo and Naviva with
experiences centred on culture, cuisine, nature and wellness.
