EVA Air has been named the World's Best International
Airline in the prestigious Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2026, securing
the top position for the first time in the annual readers' survey.
The award recognises the airline's long-standing
commitment to outstanding service, innovation and premium travel experiences.
More than 200,000 readers took part in this year's survey, which is regarded as
one of the travel industry's most influential customer satisfaction rankings.
Premium Economy and service quality receive high
praise
"We are deeply grateful to passengers around the
world for their support and recognition of EVA Air. Winning the top spot this
year is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, who
strive every day to deliver exceptional service at every stage of the
journey," said Steve Lin, Chairman of EVA Air.
He highlighted the airline's fourth-generation Premium
Economy Class, introduced in 2025, which has received strong positive feedback
from travellers. EVA Air has also strengthened its onboard experience through
partnerships with internationally renowned brands, enhancing both inflight
amenities and dining.
Readers evaluate comfort, service and value
Each year, Travel + Leisure invites its readers to
vote for their favourite airlines, hotels, cruise lines, cities and
destinations. Airlines are assessed on cabin comfort, inflight service,
customer service and overall value.
The 2026 results are published in the magazine's
August edition and reflect consumer preferences across the global travel
industry.
Continued recognition for service and safety
The latest accolade adds to EVA Air's growing list of
international awards. The carrier has maintained its SKYTRAX Five-Star Airline status
for eleven consecutive years and continues to receive strong safety ratings
from industry analysts.
For 2026, AirlineRatings.com ranked EVA Air 11th among
the world's top 25 airlines and 8th among the safest full-service airlines,
while also awarding the carrier its Seven Star PLUS Safety Rating.
