Football fans travelling with Emirates this summer
will be able to follow every moment of the FIFA World Cup 26™ live from
take-off to landing. From the opening ceremony in Mexico through to the final
in the United States on 19 July, the airline will broadcast all matches onboard
via its dedicated live sports channel, Sport 24.
The initiative ensures that passengers can stay
connected to one of the world’s most watched sporting events while travelling,
following every goal, celebration and key moment from 40,000 feet.
Live football throughout the tournament
Emirates customers can watch every FIFA World Cup 26™
match live through Sport 24 on ice, the airline’s award-winning inflight
entertainment system.
To help travellers plan their viewing, the complete
broadcast schedule is available in the June edition of the airline’s ice
magazine. The service allows football fans from around the world to keep up
with the tournament regardless of their destination.
Live television, including Sport 24 and Sport 24
Extra, is available on most Emirates flights, although availability may vary
depending on aircraft type and route.
Matches also available in Dubai lounges
Where operationally possible, FIFA World Cup 26™
matches will also be shown in Emirates’ airport lounges in Dubai, allowing
passengers to continue following the action before departure or during
transfers.
Summer of sport onboard
In addition to football, Emirates is offering a wide
range of live sporting events throughout the summer.
Basketball fans can follow the NBA Finals on Sport 24
and Sport 24 Extra through 20 June. Sailing enthusiasts can watch the Canada
Sail Grand Prix from Halifax Harbour on 20 and 21 June, while Formula 1
followers can enjoy live coverage of the Belgian Grand Prix on 19 July and the
Hungarian Grand Prix on 26 July.
With a packed schedule of global sporting events
available onboard, Emirates continues to expand its live entertainment offering
for travellers around the world.
