The Delta Flight Museum is welcoming visitors this
summer with an expanded interactive experience that combines aviation history,
immersive storytelling and hands-on exhibits. Located in Atlanta, the museum
offers families, aviation enthusiasts and tourists an opportunity to explore
Delta Air Lines' century-long history through historic aircraft, multimedia
installations and interactive displays.
A highlight of the visit is Taking Flight, the
museum's award-winning pre-show experience, which introduces guests to Delta's
story before they enter the exhibition areas.
Award-winning introduction to the museum
Developed in partnership with creative agency Blue
Telescope, Taking Flight combines motion graphics, archival footage, music and
narration by Delta flight attendant Jeanie Brady to present the airline's
history in an immersive format.
The production has received several international
honours, including a Gold award at the Vega Digital Awards as well as
recognition from the Telly Awards and the Communicator Awards.
“It’s an honor to see this work recognized, but even
more rewarding to watch visitors experience it every day,” said Nina Thomas,
Director of Exhibits and Public Programs. “It truly sets the tone for a visit
that connects people to Delta’s story in a meaningful way.”
Interactive journey through aviation history
Following the introductory presentation, visitors can
explore interactive exhibits, historic aircraft and behind-the-scenes insights
into Delta's development over the past 100 years.
The museum offers opportunities to board aircraft,
engage with interactive displays and learn about the people, technology and
innovations that have shaped modern air travel.
Designed for visitors of all ages, the museum combines
historical exhibits with multimedia experiences that make aviation accessible
and engaging for families, aviation fans and curious travellers alike.
The museum also offers extended opening hours on
selected Mondays during the summer season.
