Da Nang is expanding its position as a destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), with the central Vietnamese city aiming to attract nearly 93,000 business event visitors in 2026. The target represents a 12 percent increase over the previous year and reflects the growing importance of corporate travel and international events within the city's tourism strategy.
Against this backdrop, Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River is positioning itself as a venue for conferences, corporate meetings and business gatherings. Opened in May 2025 as Vietnam's first Courtyard by Marriott property, the hotel combines extensive event facilities with accommodation and dining services in a central location overlooking the Han River.
The property offers 13 meeting and event venues, including a Grand Ballroom with an 8.5-metre ceiling height and natural daylight. With 296 guest rooms in the same building, the hotel allows organizers to accommodate delegates and host events at a single location. This arrangement can simplify logistics for conferences and corporate groups, particularly when programmes involve several meetings, receptions and networking activities.
Flexible spaces above the Han River
The Grand Ballroom forms the centrepiece of the hotel's conference facilities. Its high ceilings and daylight provide a setting for larger corporate gatherings, conferences, banquets and celebrations. Additional meeting rooms can accommodate different group sizes and event formats, allowing organizers to adapt the facilities to their requirements.
Beyond conventional conference spaces, the hotel features an outdoor event venue on Level 45. Overlooking the Han River and Da Nang's urban skyline, the elevated space is designed for cocktail receptions, networking events and corporate celebrations.
The combination of indoor meeting facilities and outdoor hospitality areas allows event planners to organize formal business sessions alongside more informal gatherings without changing venues.
The hotel's central location also provides access to Da Nang's commercial districts and urban attractions. For international delegates, this creates opportunities to combine business programmes with experiences in the surrounding city.
Local cuisine complements corporate programmes
Food and beverage services form another component of the hotel's MICE offering. Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River provides international dishes alongside Vietnamese cuisine, allowing organizers to incorporate regional flavours into conference catering, business dinners and receptions.
For corporate groups, the availability of accommodation, meeting facilities and restaurants within one property can reduce the need for external transfers and separate service arrangements. It also provides greater flexibility when coordinating programmes involving participants arriving from different destinations.
Da Nang's ambitions in the business events sector reflect a broader effort to diversify its tourism economy beyond traditional leisure travel. Conferences and corporate gatherings can generate demand for accommodation, restaurants and related services while bringing visitors to the city for professional purposes.
The city's target of nearly 93,000 MICE visitors in 2026 indicates the scale of this development. Hotels with dedicated conference infrastructure are becoming an important part of the destination's capacity to accommodate such demand.
With its combination of meeting facilities, 296 guest rooms and a prominent riverside location, Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River adds to the range of venues available for domestic and international business events in central Vietnam.
