Lufthansa is enhancing its long-haul travel experience
through a new partnership with German premium skincare brand BABOR. As part of
the airline’s Future Onboard Experience (FOX) programme, passengers in First
and Business Class will receive upgraded amenity kits featuring curated
skincare products designed for use during and after the flight.
The rollout begins in late March for First Class, with
Business Class following in early May. The initiative forms part of a broader
strategy to improve comfort, individuality and premium service across long-haul
travel.
Premium skincare as part of onboard experience
With the integration of BABOR products, Lufthansa is
expanding its service offering beyond seating and catering. The skincare range
has been specifically selected to meet the needs of travellers at altitude,
where cabin conditions can affect the skin.
“With BABOR as our new partner for our amenity kits in
First and Business Class, we’re demonstrating that our commitment to premium
service doesn’t stop at new seats and a new culinary concept—luxurious details
like high-quality skincare make all the difference on board. Together with
BABOR, we will offer our guests a unique feel-good experience above the clouds
in the future,” said Michelle Mynhardt, Head of Brand Marketing and Customer
Relations at Lufthansa.
“Lufthansa and BABOR share a special commitment to
innovation, tradition, and exceptional guest experiences,” said Mirja
Rousselle, Vice President of Global Marketing at BABOR. “Together, we want to
turn travel into an experience that is special and personal, and for us, that
includes skincare. These personal moments are especially valuable in our
fast-paced world.”
New amenity kits for First and Business Class
From early May, Business Class passengers will receive
updated amenity kits including lip balm and hand cream from BABOR’s Soul &
Body line.
In First Class, guests will be offered the DOCTOR
BABOR Collagen Peptide Booster Cream, one of the brand’s flagship products.
Personalised skincare for First Class guests
The collaboration extends beyond standard amenity
kits. First Class passengers will be able to choose additional skincare
products from a dedicated onboard menu tailored to individual preferences and
skin needs.
Options include eye cream, Eye Zone Patches, a firming
filler serum and a hydrating gel-cream. Selected products are delivered
directly to the seat by the cabin crew, creating a more personalised and
premium experience.
Part of broader onboard upgrade strategy
The introduction of BABOR products is a key component
of Lufthansa’s FOX programme, which aims to redefine the long-haul experience
through enhanced comfort and tailored service elements.
With this initiative, the airline continues to focus
on differentiating its premium offering by combining functional improvements
with personalised touches designed to elevate the overall travel experience.
