From 22 to 24 July, 39 international marketing representatives from TAT offices across Europe and the Americas were invited to experience the highlights of the new rail product following TAT’s Annual Plan Meeting in Bangkok.

The preview trip was led by Mrs. Chiravadee Khunsub, Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas, alongside Mrs. Malinee Nitikasetsunthorn and Ms. Suladda Sarutilavan, Executive Directors for the Americas/Middle East/Africa and Europe regions respectively. They were joined by the team from DTH Travel, including CEO Mr. Stephan Roemer and Mr. Stefan Bruns, General Manager of DTH Travel Thailand.

According to Mrs. Chiravadee, the three-day journey offered more than just a preview of the premium travel experience. It served as a strategic platform to deepen engagement with local tourism providers and to equip TAT’s international teams with authentic insights to promote high-value tourism.

“This initiative reflects TAT’s The New Thailand strategy, which focuses on quality tourism and creating deeper emotional connections through transformative journeys. The Blue Jasmine journey is a perfect example of how heritage, comfort, and culture can be woven together to tell a compelling story,” said Mrs. Chiravadee.

The trial journey, titled The Blue Jasmine: A Timeless Rail Journey Through Thailand, included visits to three UNESCO World Heritage cities—Ayutthaya, Uthai Thani, and Si Satchanalai in Sukhothai—and featured immersive cultural experiences throughout.

Starting from Bangkok’s historic Hua Lamphong Station, participants boarded the restored 1956 Japanese sleeper train, now elegantly refitted with private cabins, panoramic lounges, and menus inspired by regional Thai cuisine. Activities along the route included almsgiving by the Sakae Krang River, a visit to the glittering Crystal Sanctuary at Wat Tha Sung, traditional dance performances by the Yom River, and hands-on workshops in Sangkhalok ceramic artistry and Thai silk weaving.

The full Blue Jasmine Rail Journey will run from 16 to 24 November 2025, covering five destinations—Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Uthai Thani, Sukhothai, and Chiang Mai. The route, developed by DTH Travel, is designed to deliver a seamless blend of cultural immersion and luxury travel. Additional departures are scheduled for January, February, March, July, November, and December 2026.
