The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) announced it is returning to the Rhine River to host its premier annual river cruising event, the ASTA River Cruise Expo, which will take place March 11-15, 2026, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Now in its fifth year, the Expo continues to set the standard for immersive river cruise education, providing travel advisors with unparalleled access to tour ships from the world’s leading river cruise lines, opportunities to network with industry executives, and the ability to experience firsthand the accommodations and dining onboard participating ships.
ASTA is also excited to welcome Elizabeth Gilbert—renowned journalist and bestselling author of Eat, Pray, Love—as the Expo’s keynote speaker. Gilbert’s inspiring journey of self-discovery through adventure has resonated with millions worldwide, making her a perfect fit for an event that celebrates the power of travel.
For the first time, ASTA is introducing three levels of registration, which includes General Admission, General Admission Plus+, and VIP Admission. Registration rates range from $999 to $2,399, with General Admission Plus+ and VIP Admission including exclusive benefits such as a newly introduced town hall with ASTA President and CEO Zane Kerby, as well as earlier access to select dining and educational sessions, priority booking for post-Expo sailings and more.
"The ASTA River Cruise Expo isn’t just an event—it’s an opportunity to transform your business,” said Zane Kerby, ASTA President and CEO. “There’s no substitute for firsthand experience, no better way to build expertise, and no greater advantage than the relationships you’ll forge here. If you want to stand out in the travel industry and sell these products better than ever before, this is where it happens."
Registration for the 2026 ASTA River Cruise Expo is exclusive to ASTA members. Those interested in joining ASTA or checking their membership status can visit [www.asta.org/membership]www.asta.org/membership or contact membership@asta.org.
