Hyatt has opened Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu on the
shores of South Lake, marking the Hyatt Regency brand’s debut in Jiaxing. The
new 201-room property joins the recently opened Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu,
creating a dual-brand presence in the historic water town in eastern China.
The hotel is located next to Nanhu Place in Jiaxing’s
South Lake district, combining access to the city’s cultural attractions with
connections to major economic centres in the Yangtze River Delta. Shanghai,
Hangzhou and Suzhou are approximately one hour away by car, according to Hyatt,
while high-speed rail provides additional regional connections.
“We are proud to bring the Hyatt Regency brand to
Jiaxing, a city of profound historical significance and natural beauty,” said
Katharine Li, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu and Hyatt Place
Jiaxing Nanhu. “The opening of Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu completes our
dual-project vision here, offering guests a choice between the elevated,
full-service experience of Hyatt Regency hotels and the efficient, comfortable
stay of Hyatt Place hotels.”
201 rooms inspired by Jiangnan culture
The design of Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu draws on the
cultural heritage and aesthetics of the Jiangnan region, combining local
influences with contemporary interiors.
The hotel offers 201 guestrooms and suites with
floor-to-ceiling windows, workspaces and modern in-room technology. Suites and
rooms on the executive floor include access to the Regency Club, while families
have access to a dedicated Camp Hyatt kids’ club.
Nearby attractions include the South Lake Scenic Area,
Yuehe Historic District and Zicheng Ruins Park. Hyatt is also offering curated
routes around South Lake for guests interested in exploring the area on foot.
Three food and beverage concepts
The property features three principal dining venues.
The Lobby Lounge takes its inspiration from a traditional Jiangnan courtyard
and is designed for afternoon tea and informal meetings.
Xiangyue Chinese Restaurant focuses on seasonal
ingredients and regional flavours, while Market Cafe combines international and
local dishes in an open-kitchen setting. Outdoor waterside seating is also
available.
More than 4,500 square metres for meetings and events
Business and MICE travel represent an important part
of the new hotel’s positioning. Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu provides more than
4,500 square metres of meeting and event space.
Facilities include a pillarless grand ballroom, a
junior ballroom and ten VIP meeting rooms. The venues are designed for
conferences, product launches, corporate events, banquets and weddings.
The hotel also offers a 24-hour fitness centre, an
indoor heated swimming pool and access to walking and jogging routes along
South Lake.
Hyatt expands in the Yangtze River Delta
The opening strengthens Hyatt’s portfolio in the
Yangtze River Delta, one of China’s most important economic and tourism
regions. With Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu and Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu
operating alongside each other, the group is targeting different traveller
segments at the same lakeside location.
Hyatt Regency provides the full-service component with
extensive dining and conference facilities, while Hyatt Place is positioned
around a more streamlined accommodation concept.
World of Hyatt members can earn 500 bonus points for
qualifying nights at Hyatt Regency Jiaxing Nanhu between September 28 and
December 31, 2026 as part of the group’s new-hotel promotion.
