From 25 November to 5 December 2026, MS EUROPA will
set out on an Atlantic crossing dedicated entirely to the art of longevity.
Under the title “Non-stop from the Tagus to the Big Apple”, the ten-day voyage
combines the meditative rhythm of days at sea with insights from experts,
relaxation and culinary excellence. In cooperation with ZEIT Reisen, leading
voices from science, psychology and culture will accompany guests on a
programme designed to encourage reflection, inner balance and fresh perspectives
on what a good and healthy life can mean today.
Well-being on board – MS EUROPA as a space for renewal
Crossing the Atlantic is one of the most evocative
experiences in ocean travel: endless horizons, quiet days and a sense of
detachment from everyday life. On MS EUROPA – carrying a maximum of 400 guests
– this atmosphere becomes the setting for a journey focused on strength,
serenity and self-discovery. The holistic EUROPA Refresh programme offers
modern fitness and movement concepts, personalised nutritional approaches,
mindfulness sessions and soothing treatments at the OCEAN SPA. A heated
15-metre seawater pool, whirlpool and ocean-view fitness area provide space for
exercise and calm.
Five restaurants, all included in the cruise fare,
ensure culinary variety. Among them is THE GLOBE by Kevin Fehling, whose
Hamburg restaurant THE TABLE holds three Michelin stars and five black toques
from Gault&Millau. With creative, cosmopolitan cuisine at the highest
level, the Atlantic crossing also becomes a memorable journey for the palate.
“The Longevity Crossing”: inspiration for a fulfilled
life
For eight of the ten days at sea, the programme will
focus on questions of meaning, self-care and well-being. Three experts will
accompany the voyage: Andreas Lebert, editor-in-chief of ZEIT Wissen and head
of arts and culture at DIE ZEIT; Dr Sibylle Anderl, astrophysicist, philosopher
and head of the science desk at DIE ZEIT; and psychologist and bestselling
author Dr Eva Wlodarek. In talks and discussions, they will explore topics such
as mental orientation, personal attitude, rest, resilience and the search for
inner balance.
Additional sessions offer interdisciplinary insights –
from understanding how relaxation works to making time an ally, navigating
complexity or cultivating well-being in daily life. Sundowners, open
conversations and dedicated discussion rounds help create an atmosphere of
exchange on equal terms. Gentle exercise and mindfulness activities complement
the programme, while optional one-to-one coaching allows guests to delve deeper
into personal themes and translate new insights into routines. The result is a retreat
at sea designed to inspire lasting change.
Advent atmosphere on the Atlantic – arrival in New
York’s glow
Late-autumn light sets the scene as MS EUROPA departs
Lisbon. Once the ship heads westward, the Advent season begins on board:
relaxed days, festive evenings and culinary highlights define the pace. On the
morning of 4 December, the ship will arrive in New York, where an overnight
stay gives guests time to experience the city’s festive sparkle. An exclusive
post-cruise programme curated by the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises concierge service
offers the opportunity to explore the Big Apple even further.
Sample voyage: “Non-stop from the Tagus to the Big
Apple” (EUR2627)
Lisbon (Portugal) – New York City (USA), 25 November –
5 December 2026 (10 days).
