Radisson
Hotel Group reaffirms its commitment to significantly grow its portfolio by
announcing the rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson as well
as the signing of two Prize by Radisson hotels across Central Europe. This
strategic milestone and rebranding underscores Radisson Hotel Group's
dedication to broadening the brand’s presence in vibrant, centrally located
markets and cities.
The
transition from prizeotel to Prize by Radisson aligns the dynamic affordable
high design brand more closely with the Group’s core values and “Yes I Can!”
guest experience and emphasizes the commitment to delivering a high standard of
service in an informal communal experience. Renowned for its vibrant and fresh
design, the rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson preserves the eclectic
character of the brand’s original identity. Prize by Radisson continues to
offer a midscale lifestyle experience with a unique personality at the cost of
an economy hotel, featuring bright, energized spaces ideal for modern living,
work, and social interaction.
Elie
Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at
Radisson Hotel Group: “The rebranding and expansion of Prize by Radisson
is an impactful milestone to expand the global reach of the brand and increase
its international appeal to our guests and owners.”
Commenting
on the rebrand, Connor Ryterski, Managing Director Prize by Radisson
stated: “The rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson marks a pivotal
moment in our growth strategy. With this move, we are excited to expand the
Prize by Radisson footprint and continue to deliver exceptional guest
experiences to travelers across key central landmarks whilst demonstrating the
support, commercial excellence and security of belonging to an international
hotel chain to our owners.”
The
two signings across key European destinations are testament to the exciting
expansion plans of Prize by Radisson across all contract types, leased, managed
as well as franchised hotels, with the right solution for every market.
Prize
by Radisson, Gdansk City, scheduled to open in 2026, is a 126-room newly built
property located only 300m away from the city’s famous boulevard and its
renowned architecture along the Motlawa river. Gdansk, where historic charm
meets modern vibrancy, is a booming economic hub and a must-visit destination,
seamlessly blending centuries-old architecture with dynamic opportunities for
business and leisure. The ground floor of the hotel will house a restaurant as
well as a bar. Gdansk airport, the third largest airport in Poland, is 17km
away from the hotel, whereas the main train station is approximately 2km away
from the hotel.
Prize
by Radisson, Berlin City, scheduled to open in 2027, the 315-room property will
be part of a new mixed-use development in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district.
Situated only around 10 minutes from Alexanderplatz, the hotel offers smooth
connectivity to the city's attractions, nightlife, trade fair, airport, and
long-distance train stations. In line with PrizePromise, the brand’s ESG
commitment, the building aims for DGNB Gold certification and will feature
various uses, with the hotel occupying about 60% of the property’s land. The
top floor will house the hotel lobby, bar, social area with co-working space,
and breakfast restaurant, all offering stunning views of Berlin's city
center.
Since
its launch in Germany in 2009, Prize by Radisson has redefined the midscale
design hotel concept by merging smart lifestyle elements with affordable
accommodation. The brand expanded in 2022 with new properties in Bonn, Vienna,
and Münster. Currently, the Prize by Radisson portfolio consists of 21
properties in operation and under development across Europe, including the
highly anticipated opening of Prize by Radisson, Osnabrück City in
2025. This 170-room hotel will be part of a mixed-use development in central
Osnabrück, offering convenient transport links and including residential,
hotel, dining, and retail spaces.
Valerie
Schuermans, Vice President, Western & Southern Europe at Radisson Hotel
Group said: “Prize by Radisson is an exciting evolution that aligns
perfectly with our vision for growth across key markets in Europe. This
transformation enhances our ability to capitalize on Radisson’s overall
recognition in the region and grow our brand awareness. The rebranding will
allow us to strengthen the portfolio and further accelerate the international
expansion of Prize by Radisson”.
