Delta Air Lines will resume its nonstop service
between New York-JFK and Tel Aviv on September 6, restoring a daily connection
between the United States and Israel. The first flight will leave New York on
September 6 and arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport the following
morning.
The return service is scheduled to depart Tel Aviv on
September 7 and reach New York later the same day. Delta says the decision
follows a review of the evolving security situation in the region.
Daily service with Airbus A330-900neo
Delta will operate the route with an Airbus
A330-900neo. The aircraft offers four cabin products: Delta One, Delta Premium
Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main.
The reinstatement gives Delta passengers a daily
nonstop option between its New York-JFK hub and Israel after the airline
suspended the route amid security concerns in the region.
Security situation remains under review
Delta stressed that the return to Tel Aviv followed a
comprehensive assessment of current conditions and that developments in the
region will continue to be monitored.
“The safety and security of our customers and
employees remain our top priority,” the airline said. Delta added that it would
continue to assess the situation in coordination with aviation authorities and
government agencies.
Passengers are therefore advised to check their flight
status and current travel information before departure, as operational plans
could be adjusted if the security situation changes.
