Following the announcement that Phu Quoc will host the
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in 2027, the Vietnamese island
is attracting increasing attention from organisations looking for a Southeast
Asian destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. Crowne
Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay is positioning itself as a venue designed to accommodate
this growing demand for high-level business events.
Located on Bai Dai Beach in the northwest of the
island, the resort combines conference infrastructure with the natural
surroundings of Phu Quoc. The property offers a range of event spaces including
a grand ballroom with capacity for up to 400 participants, several breakout
rooms and more than 1,000 square metres of outdoor beachfront event space.
Phu Quoc gaining relevance for corporate events
Improved infrastructure on the island, increasing
international flight connections and Vietnam’s visa-free entry policy for many
travellers are contributing to Phu Quoc’s growing appeal as a venue for
international business gatherings. Resorts such as Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc
Starbay are adapting their facilities and services to meet the needs of
corporate groups seeking locations that combine professional meeting
environments with leisure opportunities.
The resort’s event spaces are designed to host a wide
variety of occasions, ranging from corporate meetings and board sessions to
gala dinners, weddings and incentive events. Dedicated planning teams support
organisers with coordination and event logistics.
Flexible venues for conferences and celebrations
Among the central facilities is a pillarless ballroom
that can be configured for conferences, receptions or large-scale celebrations.
Outdoor areas overlooking the beach provide additional settings for events such
as sunset cocktail receptions or seaside gala dinners.
Dining concepts at the resort complement the event
facilities, offering restaurants and beachfront venues suitable for networking
gatherings. Menus can be customised to include international and Asian cuisine
depending on the needs of each group.
Accommodation and leisure facilities for business
travellers
Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay features 308 guest
rooms, suites and villas. Guests also have access to amenities including daily
buffet breakfast, a spa, a 24-hour fitness centre and various beachfront
leisure facilities.
The resort operates under the global standards of IHG
Hotels & Resorts and the Crowne Plaza brand. Event organisers can also
benefit from programmes such as Meetings & Events Concierge services and
the IHG Business Rewards programme, which provide planning support and
incentives for corporate bookings.
With the upcoming APEC summit placing Phu Quoc on the
international stage, the resort aims to strengthen the island’s reputation as a
destination that combines business infrastructure with the natural appeal of
Vietnam’s coastal landscapes.
