The independent hospitality group now operates 100
hotels and resorts, more than 140 spas and galleries, and over 20 branded
residences across 20+ countries.
“Crossing the 100-resort milestone marks a new chapter
for Banyan Group,” said Eddy See, President and CEO. The company plans further
growth in Africa and the Caribbean while strengthening its multi-brand
portfolio and wellbeing-led philosophy.
Global expansion across key regions
In Africa, Banyan Group debuts in safari hospitality
with Ubuyu, a Banyan Tree Escape in Tanzania and expands into West Africa with Dhawa
Ouidah in Benin. In the Caribbean, the Group enters the Dominican Republic with
Angsana Cap Cana and Cassia Punta Cana. In Europe, Mamula Island by Banyan Tree
in Montenegro will reopen for the 2026 season with a fully refreshed brand
experience.
Across Asia and the Middle East, new openings include Banyan
Tree Guangzhou Jiulong Lake and Banyan Tree Mount Emei in China, Angsana Ashar
Valley Tents in Saudi Arabia, Angsana Bogor in Indonesia, and further growth of
the Garrya, Homm and Folio brands.
Wellbeing at the core
Wellbeing remains central to the Group’s strategy. In
2026, Banyan Group will expand Banyan Tree Connections, a private holistic
wellbeing journey for two, to eight additional resorts worldwide following its
successful launch at select flagship properties.
2025 milestones and impact
In 2025, Banyan Group celebrated the opening of its
100th resort, Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree in Singapore. The opening
coincided with the inaugural Rainforest Festival, raising over SGD 600,000 for
charitable causes. The year also marked key brand anniversaries, including 30
years in the Maldives and Indonesia.
Residences, sustainability and recognition
The Group continued to expand its branded residences
portfolio, including its first European project in Madrid and the launch of the
new Bellaguna residential brand. Banyan Group remains ranked No. 1 in Asia for
branded residential development by volume.
Globally, the company received wide recognition for
design excellence, sustainability and hospitality leadership from organisations
including Travel + Leisure, Architectural Digest, AHEAD Awards and Forbes
Travel Guide, reinforcing its position as a leading force in responsible luxury
hospitality.
