TUI Airline remains the high-flyer in the industry
and has now received the coveted trophy as "Europe's Leading Charter
Airline" for the fourth time in a row. Europe's leading travel brands were
honored at the World Travel Award Gala (WTA) ceremony in Berlin on Wednesday
evening. Since 2021, there has been no way around the five airlines from the
UK, Scandinavia, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany in this category.
“It is wonderful to see that the work of our more
than 8,000 colleagues is appreciated so much by our guests. This award is a
great recognition for everyone at TUI Airline. The award will be a great
incentive to improve our service even further to take first place again next
year and offer our guests the best travel experience not only on vacation, but
also on the way there and back again”, said Marco Ciomperlik, Chief Airline
Officer of TUI Group.
“Congratulations to TUI Airline for winning
‘Europe’s Leading Charter Airline 2024’. This is a superb achievement,
reflecting how the airline is setting the benchmark in the charter aviation
sector. The commitment of the entire TUI Airline team serves as an inspiration
to us all”, said Graham E. Cooke, Founder, World Travel Awards. Flight
attendants Barbara Fromme and Julia Täger accepted the award on behalf of TUI
Airline.
The WTA were founded in 1993 to recognize
outstanding achievements in the tourism industry. Today, the WTA brand is
recognized worldwide as a seal of quality. The winners set the standard by
which all others are judged.
