The
day began with the first flight to Zurich (ZRH), which took off from Frankfurt
at around 06:15 a.m. with flight number DE4311. About half an hour later, at
around 06:50 a.m., Condor flight DE4427 took off on its first flight from
Frankfurt to Munich (MUC). The first flight from Frankfurt to Vienna (VIE) took
off in the afternoon at around 02:50 p.m. with flight number DE4349. Following
these inaugural flights, guests now have the opportunity to fly twice a day
with Condor from Frankfurt to Munich and Zurich, while flights to Vienna are
scheduled once a day from the Main metropolis.
“Following
the successful launch of our new city flights to Berlin and Hamburg at the
beginning of March, the Condor City network is taking shape with the addition
of three more connections, making us even more attractive as an airline for
private, business and connecting travelers alike,” says Peter Gerber, CEO of
Condor. “We are also very pleased that we will be able to establish a presence
at Vienna and Zurich airports with one base aircraft at each airport.”
On-board
services
The
new routes will be operated with, among others, brand-new Airbus A320neo and
A321neo aircraft. On board, guests can expect a two-class configuration with
Business Class and Economy Class. Drinks and a high-quality snack are served in
Business Class, while guests in Economy Class receive complimentary water and a
sweet treat.
Further
European Condor city destinations
The
launch of the flight connection to Munich completes Condor's domestic German
flight offering, which in addition to the Bavarian capital also connects
Hamburg and Berlin with Frankfurt and thus with the Condor long-haul network.
Vienna and Zurich mark the start of the European city destinations. They will
be followed by Rome (FCO) and Palermo (PMO) on April 5, 2025. The two Italian
destinations will be served once a day from the beginning of April. Palermo can
then be reached with a stopover in Rome from Frankfurt. Flights to Milan (MXP),
Paris (CDG) and Prague (PRG) will then also be offered as of May.
Tickets
for flights to Munich, Vienna and Zurich are available at all travel agencies
or online at www.condor.com.
