Odyssey of the Seas leaves building dock

On Saturday, November 28, the Odyssey of the Seas left MEYER WERFT's covered building dock II (hall 6). The 347.1- metre long cruise liner for Royal Caribbean International will start moving this morning.

The ship then moors at the outfitting pier in the shipyard harbour. After the manoeuvre, the masts and chimney are lifted onto the ship by crane and installed. Various tests will then be carried out. The ship is expected to moor at the outfitting pier in the shipyard towards the evening.

Weather and/or production-related time changes during the float out of the ship are possible at any time.

At MEYER WERFT's outfitting pier the interior work on the Odyssey of the Seas will be completed in the coming months. The ship will then be conveyed down the river Ems to complete the technical and nautical sea trials.

The 169,000 GT cruise ship has an overall length of 347.1 meters, is 41.4 meters wide and can accommodate more than 5000 passengers.
