AzTa head Nahid Bagirov says that because of the crisis the number of local tourists going abroad has decreased much.
"Against this background the inflow of tourists to Azerbaijan has had observed a significant increase lately and mainly from Arab countries, CIS countries, European and Asian countries. It should be noted that the crisis had a positive impact on the tourism of Azerbaijan," Bagirov said.
He added that a new trend in the market has also led to a change of the profile of travel agencies dealing with citizens going for traveling abroad.
"Such companies began to deal with incoming tourism, which has now become more profitable amid the decline of outbound tourism," Bagirov said.
